About Us

Ira Smith Farm Stand & Garden Center opened as a family owned and operated business in 1963. After many years of working as a landscaper, Ira Smith and his wife Elaine opened their own landscaping and flower business in West Bridgewater. With their hard work, love and determination, the business grew and continues to thrive today. 

Over the years a garden center, an award-winning cyder mill and an old-fashioned bakery were added. In 1990, Ira & Elaine's son, Wade Smith added a Truck Rental dealership to the farm stand, which was designed to offset the winter months when the farm stand was closed. This business has flourished and has now grown to over 40 vehicles. The tremendous growth of this location prompted the opening of a second location in Easton, which Wade now manages. This location rents Budget trucks and is a heavy and medium duty truck repair shop, providing fleet maintenance, DOT, State inspections and more.

Although they are now retired, and the bakery, cyder mill, and farm stand are now closed, Ira and Elaine are very proud of their family and the way the business has been diversified. The family continues to operate the truck shop the old fashioned way to meet and exceed our customer's needs with friendly, fast and honest service.
